Rooted in Place

The first Lost & Found Homestead Farms community is being established in Waldron, Michigan, within Wright Township, Hillsdale County. We have green lights, support and are working in direct connection with Hillsdale Co Health Dept, State of Michigan Department of Agricultural and Rural Development.

This rural setting offers the land, quiet, and agricultural foundation necessary to build a permanent homestead community for veterans—while remaining closely connected to surrounding towns, regional partners, and local support networks.

By supporting this location, founding donors and partners help establish the very first homestead site—setting the standard, culture, and framework for future communities to follow.

Founding Legacy

Lost & Found Homestead Farms is being built from the ground up—and the people who step forward now will forever be part of its foundation. This is the stage where vision becomes land, plans become homes, and intention becomes impact.

Founding donors and partners are not simply supporting a program. They are helping establish a model for veteran independence that is designed to last, grow, and be replicated nationwide.

Why Founding Support Matters

Lost & Found Homestead Farms is currently in the formation and development phase. Early support is focused on:

  • Securing land
  • Building core infrastructure
  • Establishing programs, standards, and systems
  • Creating a stable, compliant, long-term model

Founding contributions make it possible to move from planning to permanent impact. This stage is critical—decisions made now shape the culture, scale, and success of the homestead for decades to come.

Founding Donors: Building the Foundation

Founding donors play a unique role in launching the first homestead community. These early supporters help establish:

  • The physical land and buildings
  • The operational framework
  • The veteran pathways and programs
  • The credibility needed to expand partnerships and funding

Founding donors are recognized not only for what they give—but for what they help create.

Founding Legacy & Recognition

Founding donors may be recognized through:

  • Naming opportunities for land, buildings, or program areas
  • Permanent recognition within the homestead community
  • Inclusion in founding records and materials
  • Recognition as part of the original group that made the first location possible

As Lost & Found Homestead Farms grows, founding supporters are acknowledged as the individuals and organizations that helped establish the original model—creating a legacy that extends beyond a single location.
